DALBANDIN:MNA Mir Haji Muhammad Hashim Notezai, Member Central Committee, National Party (Mengal), said Saturday that the dream of peace and development could not be materialized unless all the basic problems of Balochistan, including the issue of missing persons, were addressed.
This he expressed while talking to political, tribal, social personalities and workers of Balochistan National Party (Mengal) at Notezai House, Sirgesa who called on him for Eid greeting here on Saturday. Notezai said that Balochistan National Party (Mengal) was playing its due role on the opposition benches instead of treasury benches in the best interest of Balochistan.
He said that after securing some seats in the national assembly in the election of 2018, Sardar Akhtar Jan Mengal, leader of Balochistan National Party (Mengal) joined the government alliance on the basis of six points which included, inter alia, solution of the issue of missing persons, share of Balochistan in federal jobs and development schemes, but when demands of BNP (Mengal) were not entertained after lapse of 1 ½ years, party parted ways with the federal government.
He added that BNP (Mengal) attached priority to the welfare of the people of Balochistan instead of power. He said that rulers and establishment ought to have solved the issue of missing persons on humanitarian ground, because the issue of missing persons had not only caused uncertainty in the country but the image of the country had also been tarnished internationally.
