Officer Grievances Promptly Addressed by Security Division

Islamabad police force has seen swift action taken on its officers” grievances, with a dedicated orderly room session held to address both departmental and personal issues, ensuring timely resolution and improved welfare provisions.

The initiative, driven by special directives from Inspector General of Police (IGP) Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, saw DIG Security Muhammad Atique Tahir convene the meeting in his office. It aimed to ensure a prioritised approach to resolving the challenges faced by personnel, according to a police report today.

Officers from the Security Division participated, presenting a range of individual and official concerns to the Deputy Inspector General. In response, specific instructions were issued for new investigations into serious complaints, while other matters were ordered for immediate and preferential resolution.

During the proceedings, DIG Tahir highlighted several ongoing efforts focused on officer well-being. These include initiatives to improve housing, provide better medical services, and elevate educational standards for police families.

He reassured the assembled personnel that his office remained accessible for any issues they might encounter, stressing the importance of collective effort for the advancement of the capital. The Deputy Inspector General further reiterated that the primary objective of such sessions was to swiftly tackle welfare, personal, and official difficulties experienced by the police.
