Hyderabad: Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) said on Friday that in partnership with Al-Shifa Eye Trust Rawalpindi, it has launched a health programme titled, ‘OGDCL Three Day Free Surgical Eye Camps (OTDFSEC)’ to facilitate local population residing around the company fields and operational areas in Hyderabad district of Sindh province.

As part of the health programme, OGDCL, under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, will organize a three-day free surgical eye camp from January 10 to 12, 2023, at RHC Tando Jam district Hyderabad.

Similarly, OGDCL Free Surgical Eye Camp will be organized from January 14 to 16, 2023, at OGDCL Tando Alam Oil Complex (TOC) in district Hyderabad through Al-Shifa.

During the three-day Free Eye Camps, doctors and eye specialists of Al-Shifa Trust will provide free Ophthalmic OPDs, treatments, provision of glasses, medicines, and surgeries (including cataract-Mota) to the local population residing around OGDCL fields and operations.

The company has asked local parliamentarians for administrative support to extend the maximum benefit to the masses of the area and make the programme successful. The company has launched an awareness campaign about the free eye camp among area notables, community centers, schools, colleges, and the local population for the free treatment of needy locals.
