KARACHI: One person was killed and four others injured Wednesday when a three-storey under construction building collapsed on them in Karachi.
According to rescue sources, eight people, including masons and labourers, were in the building when it collapsed in Shah Faisal Colony No 5 near Qadri Masjid. Panic gripped the area soon after the incident.
Four of them were recovered from the rubble in critical condition while two others remained safe and sustained minor wounds. The remaining two were feared to be still under the rubble. The rescue team recovered a dead body from the rubble which was of a pedlar who stood under the building.
