One person was killed and five others were injured when the roof of a poultry farm’s control shed collapsed during repairs on Sher Garh Road.
Following the incident, Rescue 1122 teams were dispatched from the Rescue Command and Control Center. Upon reaching the scene, first responders immediately initiated a search and rescue operation and worked to extricate the people trapped under the debris.
The rescue operation, equipped with modern equipment, was supervised by District Emergency Officer Zafar Iqbal. The Assistant Commissioner and local police were also present at the scene to oversee the proceedings.
Rescue officials identified the deceased as approximately 35-year-old Shahid, son of Ilyas.
The injured include Shoaib son of Farooq, Ghulam Abbas son of Abdul Ghafoor, Irfan son of Manzoor, Muhammad Akram son of Muhammad Subhan, and Ramzan son of Muhammad Nazir. They were shifted to the hospital after receiving first aid.
22 rescuers, two motorcycles, two ambulances, one rescue vehicle, and one fire vehicle participated in the rescue operation, which has now been completed.
