A suspected robber was injured and arrested following an exchange of fire with law enforcement in the Rahim Shah Colony on Saturday, while his associate managed to flee the scene.
The confrontation occurred when police encountered two alleged robbers, leading to a shootout.
Authorities identified the apprehended individual as Shakeel, son of Iqbal. He was taken into custody after sustaining injuries during the clash and has been transported to a hospital for medical attention.
A search following the incident led to the recovery of a pistol with rounds, an unspecified amount of cash, and a mobile phone.
The Momanabad Police Station has initiated a further investigation into the matter as efforts continue to locate the escaped accomplice.
