Only Talha beats a foreign player in ITF J5 tennis tourney

KARACHI:Muhammad Talha Khan was the only Pakistani player, who could defeat a foreign player in the first round of the General Tyre International Tennis Federation (ITF) J5 Junior Tennis Championships 2020, which commenced at the PTF Complex in Islamabad on Monday.

 

Talha zapped Ryaan Khawaja Saud of USA by 6-0, 6-0 score to make it to the second round.

 

Rain on Monday in the capital forced few matches to postpone for a day. The remaining first round matches will be played on Tuesday.

 

In other boys singles first round matches, Aarav Samrat Hada of Nepal dispatched Pakistan’s Saim Choudhry by 6-0, 6-0. Another local player Nalain Abbas also conceded an identical 6-0, 6-0 defeat from Alexander Karman of USA. USA’s Siddhartha Lama thrashed Pakistan’s Bilal Asim also by identical and pristine 6-0, 6-0 score.

 

British player Roy Keegan trounced Muhammad Haider Ali Rizwan of Pakistan by 6-0, 6-1 score. Another player from USA Rohan Belday defeated local player Jarrar Hussain by identical 6-0, 6-1 score.

 

In matches between local players, Muhammad Huzaifa Khan defeated Ahmad Nael Qureshi by 6-0, 3-6, 6-0 score. Hamid Israr Gul overpowered Raja Azan Ahmed Sajjid by 6-1, 6-1 score.
