Open Court Ensures Swift Redressal of Citizen Issues

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi today underscored the Islamabad Capital Police”s paramount commitment to the prompt, transparent, and merit-based resolution of public concerns, personally overseeing an open court session to facilitate immediate redressal. Citizens and force members alike presented their issues, receiving direct instructions for resolution from the top police official.

The police chief affirmed that swift grievance resolution stands as a primary objective for the local law enforcement agency. He encouraged any individual facing police-related difficulties to attend the open court, highlighting that the doors of the capital”s police service remain open for public assistance. Relevant officials were further directed to resolve all received applications within stipulated timeframes based on merit and to submit comprehensive reports to the Central Police Office.

Earlier, Chief Commissioner Islamabad Sohail Ashraf, alongside IGP Rizvi, undertook an inspection of the Police Lines Headquarters Dispensary. A detailed briefing was provided by the AIG Logistics on the healthcare provisions available, including modern medical apparatus, treatment methodologies, and ongoing well-being initiatives for police personnel and their families.

The senior officials were informed that expert clinicians across various specialisms had been enlisted to guarantee high-quality healthcare. Reform measures, adhering to contemporary standards, are continuously being implemented to deliver timely and effective treatment to patients.

The Chief Commissioner and the IGP toured different sections of the dispensary, observing the pharmacy, laboratory, emergency unit, and other patient care facilities. Following this review, IGP Rizvi directed officers to deploy all available means towards providing world-class healthcare services to the force, affirming that the well-being of police personnel is a paramount concern.

He explained that force members dedicate themselves tirelessly to serving the country and the populace; thus, securing their health, well-being, and appropriate clinical attention represents a core institutional obligation. A robust, proficient, and vibrant workforce, he stated, is essential for delivering effective and high-quality security services to the community. Delivering contemporary and high-quality health provisions to police staff and their families forms a crucial component of the Islamabad Police’s welfare policy.

Under the IGP”s direct oversight and keen interest, advanced medical apparatus at the Police Lines Headquarters dispensary has been fully operationalised. The consistent presence of expert clinicians, including general physicians, dental surgeons, and diabetes specialists, is also being maintained for the regular consultation of police staff. Further enhancements to healthcare standards are anticipated to guarantee optimal care, a salubrious environment, and efficacious health provisions for the force.

Concluding their inspection, Chief Commissioner Ashraf and IGP Rizvi commended the dispensary staff”s efforts, offered encouragement, and engaged in discussions concerning potential supplementary provisions.
