Open Court Held in Mirpur Mathelo to Address Government Employees’ Salary and Pension Issues

Numerous government employees and pensioners are facing financial hardships arising from withheld salaries, pension complexities, and General Provident (GP) Fund discrepancies, prompting the establishment of a new public forum to address these grievances directly.

, District Accounts Officer Ghulam Sarwar Chachar announced on Thursday that an open court will now be held regularly to resolve issues faced by government staff.

The inaugural session took place on Thursday at the District Accounts Office, attended by Additional Accounts Officer Sarfraz Awan and departmental auditors. During the hearing, government employees from various departments presented grievances related to unpaid compensation, difference bills, and their GP Fund.

A total of 18 specific complaints were registered during the proceedings. Mr. Chachar confirmed that directives were issued for the immediate and on-the-spot resolution of these matters.

The District Accounts Officer stated that this initiative, launched at the direction of the Accountant General of Sindh, aims to provide immediate relief to government employees and pensioners and alleviate their hardships. He affirmed that these open courts will be held weekly or fortnightly to ensure the consistent and timely settlement of grievances.
