Inspector General (IG) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, has directed that the highest standard of medical care be provided to the injured after visiting the victims of the gas leakage explosion at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) hospital.

Accompanied by senior police officers, the city’s top police official inquired about the well-being of those injured in the incident on Tuesday morning.

During his visit, IG Rizvi ordered that the best available medical facilities be provided to the affected individuals. He also expressed deep sympathy and condolences to the families of those who died in the blast.

The Inspector General praised the role of his force following the explosion. “The Islamabad Police diligently fulfilled its duty by conducting timely and effective relief operations in this incident,” said Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi.
