Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has said that Pak-China friendship is attached to the vision of mutual trust, respect and a bright future. She stated this while attending a ceremony with reference to 75th National Day of People’s Republic of China in Lahore.
She met with Chinese Consul General Zhao Shiren today and felicitated him on the Day. She extending best wishes to Chinese people from people of Punjab and said that we feel proud to celebrate Chinese’ achievements, which are worth following.
She stated that the Chinese people not only cooperated in development but also extended friendship. She hailed the CPEC for “revolutionising Pakistan’s economic landscape” which is also lauded by the citizens. Maryam Nawaz said China’s unwavering contribution for humanity, peace and cooperation was commendable. ‘We respect Chinese nation and China’s success is a role model for us,’ she said.
China always supported Pakistan through thick and thin and the two countries cooperated for a peaceful and prosperous future. China’s role in resolving every global crisis was exemplary, she said. The Chinese consul general commended the people-friendly initiatives of Punjab CM including Nawaz Sharif IT City, Air Ambulance Service, Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar programme and a cancer hospital. The Chinese dignitary said the solar panel programme would provide relief to the public.
In his address, the Chinese Consul General praised Punjab Chief Minister’ public welfare measures. He said that the Punjab Government is serving the public in the best possible manner. Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan, Speaker Punjab Assembly Malik Mohammad Ahmad Khan also addressed the ceremony.
