Pakistan and Uzbekistan have agreed to enhance cooperation in the tourism sector, following a meeting between Haroon Akhtar Khan, the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Industries and Production, and Umid Shadiev, the Uzbek Minister for Tourism.
The meeting, held in Islamabad, emphasized the rich potential for collaboration in tourism and cultural exchange.
Khan highlighted that Pakistan is ready to collaborate with Uzbekistan to boost tourism and preserve shared heritage. He said that Pakistan International Airlines will soon launch direct flights to Uzbekistan, with private airlines also expected to join the initiative to bolster trade and tourism connections.
Shadiev expressed appreciation for the strengthening bilateral relationship and noted that several Memoranda of Understanding have already been signed to formalize cooperation between the two nations.
