ISLAMABAD: A security contingent of Pakistan Army left for Qatar on Monday from Nur Khan Airbase to assume security of FIFA World Cup 2022.
The contingent comprises Pakistan Army’s officers, Junior Commissioned Officers and Jawans. Pakistan Army will assist the Qatari government in security of FIFA World Cup.
The 2022 FIFA World Cup begins in Qatar on November 20 in what will be the first winter edition in the history of the competition. The best players in the world will take center stage in Qatar as the action runs through the final on December 18.
