Pakistan Army continues rescue, relief operations in country’s flood-hit areas

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Army continues rescue and relief operations in flood-hit areas of the country.

According to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), 140 helicopter sorties have been conducted to evacuate more than 550 stranded individuals from various flood-affected areas. Army helicopters delivered 29 tons of relief items including 6,140 ration packets and 325 tents during the last 24 hours.

Meanwhile, 224 relief items collection points are functional in army Formations Area of Responsibility for collection and onwards distribution of relief stores while 5,213 patients have been treated so for in medical camps.
