Pakistan Demands Immediate Ceasefire in Ukraine, Urges Diplomatic Solution

Pakistan has emphatically renewed its demand for an immediate cessation of hostilities in the ongoing Ukraine conflict, calling for a swift return to the negotiating table to prevent further bloodshed.

The appeal was formally delivered by the nation”s Permanent Representative to the United NationsAn official statement issued today stated that , Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, during a UN Security Council briefing dedicated to the crisis in Ukraine.

The Ambassador advocated for a return to sustained, structured and meaningful negotiations between the involved parties.

He emphasised the position that there can be no military solution to the protracted conflict.

Concluding his remarks, Ahmad asserted that lasting peace can only be achieved through a diplomatic process firmly grounded in the principles of the UN Charter.
