Pakistan has condemned systematic campaigns aimed at delegitimizing the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), describing them as a grave affront to international law and a calculated attempt to extinguish the prospect of Palestinian statehood.
According to a report today, the strong denunciation was delivered at the fourth committee of the UN General Assembly by Ambassador Usman Jadoon, Pakistan”s Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations.
During the session, Jadoon issued an unequivocal appeal on behalf of Pakistan to the international community, urging them to safeguard and bolster the vital humanitarian agency.
He characterized UNRWA as a legitimate organ of the international system, highlighting its role as an enduring pillar of humanitarian relief, regional stability, and a source of hope for the Palestinian people.
