The Government of Pakistan today vehemently denounced Israel’s most recent move to expropriate land in the Occupied West Bank and broaden its unlawful settlement activities, labelling the measures a clear violation of international law.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs asserted that such steps are a flagrant breach of pertinent United Nations Security Council and General Assembly resolutions and must be rejected by the global community.
The ministry stated that the occupying power’s continued disregard for international statutes and its provocative actions jeopardise the prospects for a just, comprehensive, and lasting peace in the region.
Consequently, Islamabad has called upon the international community to implement concrete measures to end what it termed as ‘Israeli impunity’ and to ensure respect for international law is upheld.
Pakistan also reaffirmed its full support for the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination. This backing extends to the establishment of an independent, viable, and contiguous State of Palestine, based on pre-1967 borders, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.
