ISLAMABAD: The Ambassador of Egypt Tarek Mohamed Dahrough, called on Federal Minister for Defence Khawaja Muhammad Asif here in his office on Thursday.
The Defence Minister welcomed the Ambassador and assured him of all possible assistance in the promotion of relations especially in the field of Defence between Pakistan and Egypt. “Pakistan attaches great importance to its relations with Egypt and is focused to further strengthen the existing brotherly relations with Egypt,” said Defence Minister.
Moreover, he also underscored the scope of cooperation in defence industry particularly through joint ventures and sharing of expertise in defence technology. The Ambassador appreciated Pakistan’s support and assistance.
He highlighted the importance of cordial relations between two countries especially for issues pertaining to Muslim Ummah. Both sides agreed to further strengthen the institutional framework for high level bilateral political engagement and to closely coordinate in the UN, OIC and D-8 countries organization.
