Pakistan and Iran have pledged to further strengthen their joint efforts to enhance disaster management and emergency preparedness.
During a meeting in Islamabad today, Pakistan’s National Disaster Management Authority Chairman Lieutenant General Inam Haider Malik and Iran’s Interior Minister Iskandar Momeni reaffirmed their countries’ commitment to reducing risks associated with natural disasters.
Lieutenant General Malik emphasized the importance of institutional cooperation and information exchange, highlighting the need for the use of best practices between the two countries.
Iran’s Interior Minister Iskandar Momeni expressed his country’s interest in learning from Pakistan’s experience in developing disaster management strategies and indicated the aim to implement similar approaches in Iran.
