Pakistan Lauded for Ceasefire Mediation Amidst Middle East Conflict Talks

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi held extensive talks with his Iranian counterpart, Eskandar Momeni, in Tehran, focusing on the contemporary regional landscape, where Pakistan received commendation for its pivotal role in facilitating a recent ceasefire.

According to a report today, Iranian Interior Minister Momeni specifically lauded Pakistan’s “historic efforts” in brokering the cessation of hostilities, acknowledging the “brotherly country”s” mediation as instrumental in establishing the ceasefire. He affirmed that Iran would perpetually recall Pakistan”s genuine and constructive contribution.

Responding, Pakistani Interior Minister Naqvi articulated his nation’s profound aspiration for enduring peace and stability across the region. He underscored that diligent endeavours are underway to achieve a comprehensive and lasting resolution to the intricate Middle East conflict.

Mr Naqvi further emphasised that military engagement does not offer a remedy to any challenge, firmly asserting that constructive dialogue remains the definitive pathway for conflict resolution.
