Islamabad, November 13, 2020 (PPI-OT): Pakistan has lodged a strong protest with India over its recent ceasefire violation at Rakhchikri sector along the Line of Control in which four civilian embraced martyrdom and three wounded. A senior Indian diplomat was summoned to the Foreign Office to register the protest. In a statement, Foreign Office Spokesperson Zahid Hafeez Chaudhry said the Indian occupation forces along the LoC and the Working Boundary have been continuously targeting civilian populated areas with artillery fire, heavy-caliber mortars and automatic weapons.

Condemning the deplorable targeting of innocent civilians by the Indian occupation forces, the spokesperson said India cannot divert attention from the grave human rights situation in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu Kashmir by raising tensions along the LoC and the working boundary. The Indian side was called upon to respect the 2003 Ceasefire Understanding, investigate this and other such incidents of deliberate ceasefire violations and maintain peace along the LoC and the WB.
