A Pakistan Navy helicopter timely rescued a family stranded for five days during devastating floods in Sri Lanka, which President Asif Ali Zardari praised.

The President, on Tuesday, lauded the Naval Aviation unit for the successful evacuation of the affected individuals, highlighting the critical nature of the operation.

This rescue operation was part of the broader humanitarian assistance efforts being carried out by the Pakistan Navy ship “Saif”.

In an official statement, President Zardari said that the deployment of PNS “Saif” to assist flood victims is a tangible demonstration of the deep friendship between Pakistan and the island nation.

He stressed that the ongoing relief activities are a practical testament to the strong bilateral relations and solidarity between the two countries.
