Pakistan and the Kingdom of the Netherlands are exploring potential cooperation in the digital media sector, focusing on navigating contemporary communication challenges and the increasing influence of online platforms in public discourse.
The discussion took place during a meeting in the capital between the Dutch Ambassador to Pakistan, Robert-Jan Siegert, and the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on Digital Media, Fahd Haroon, according to a statement today.
During their engagement, the two officials exchanged perspectives on the evolving global media landscape and the significant role digital forums now play in public outreach.
The SAPM provided the envoy with a briefing on Pakistan’s ongoing initiatives to modernise its media and information frameworks, aiming to align them with international best practices.
In response, Ambassador Siegert commended Pakistan”s efforts and conveyed a keen interest in pursuing avenues for future collaboration and knowledge-sharing within the digital communication sphere.
