Pakistan Urges Conflict Resolution to Safeguard Children’s Future, Education

Pakistan has made an urgent appeal at the United Nations for the resolution of global conflicts, stressing that such action is critical to protect the educational rights and secure the future of children caught in hostilities.

Speaking at a UN Security Council session focused on “Children, Technology and Education in Conflict,” the nation”s Permanent Representative, Ambassador Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, articulated that the international community holds a fundamental obligation to ensure no child”s future is extinguished by circumstances beyond their control, according to a report by MOIB today.

The Pakistani envoy also welcomed the “Fostering the Future Together Initiative,” a new programme championed by the US First Lady.

Ambassador Ahmad confirmed that Pakistan is pleased to join the initiative, which aims to build a global coalition committed to enhancing children”s well-being through the promotion of education, innovation and technology.
