The Consulate General of Pakistan in Vancouver, in collaboration with the Pakistan-Canada Trade Association, organized a major networking event titled “Pakistan-Canada Innovation Corridor”. This was officially announced today.

Consul General Shahzad Hussain emphasised the strategic importance of Pakistan’s involvement in the Web Summit Vancouver 2026, highlighting the exposure it afforded Pakistani IT enterprises to North American markets, particularly within Canada. He acknowledged the pivotal role of the Pakistan Software Export Board in supporting the delegation that attended the summit.

Janjua noted that Pakistan’s IT industry is a vital contributor to economic growth and is on track to achieve global export totals of up to US$4.6 billion in 2026.

The event facilitated a dynamic exchange of ideas focused on enhancing trade, technology, investment, and innovation connections between Pakistan and Canada. Participants engaged in panel discussions that underscored the burgeoning opportunities for cooperation in fields such as artificial intelligence, financial technology, and other IT-enabled services.

This engaging networking event offered Pakistani companies an invaluable chance to explore partnerships and joint ventures, extending their interactions beyond Canadian firms to include a variety of international businesses during the Web Summit 2026.
