Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi today warned the Afghan Taliban regime it will face ‘serious consequences’ for what he termed an ‘intolerable’ and ‘heinous’ attack targeting innocent civilians.
In a strongly worded statement, the interior minister said the assault was carried out by a ‘cowardly enemy’ who struck under the cover of darkness in an attempt to harm non-combatants.
He confirmed that Pakistan’s Armed Forces have already delivered a ‘strong and befitting response’ to what he described as the Afghan Taliban’s open aggression.
Mr Naqvi emphasised that the nation’s military remains fully alert at all times for the defence of the homeland, declaring that the Afghan Taliban had committed a ‘grave mistake’ by launching the offensive.
He further affirmed that the entire nation stands ‘shoulder to shoulder’ with its Armed Forces and vowed that Pakistan would not permit any threat to its security.
