Senior representatives from Pakistan and the World Bank Group convened in Brussels to deliberate on the future of their partnership, with a specific focus on enhancing the existing collaborative efforts between the two.
The high-level dialogue involved Pakistan’s Ambassador to Belgium, Luxembourg and the European Union, Rahim Hayat Qureshi, and the World Bank Group’s Special Representative to Belgium, the European Union and Luxembourg, Ms Veronique Jacobs, according to information by MOIB today.
The primary agenda of the meeting was a comprehensive review of the World Bank”s current programmes and level of engagement within Pakistan.
Discussions also centred on identifying new avenues and potential mechanisms to further strengthen the cooperative relationship between the international financial institution and the nation.
