Pakistani Students Recount Intense Tehran Blasts After Returning Home

Pakistani students evacuated from Iran have described a terrifying bombing in Tehran, recounting how explosions and screams were audible from all directions following an attack that began at 9:40 a.m.

The students, who were part of a group of 35 Pakistanis arriving back in the country on Tuesday, stated that the fear was much greater and the hits were far more intense this time. They reported that a state of emergency was declared immediately after the explosions and that their university had issued a prior advisory.

Despite the attack, the students remarked on the impressive unity and spirit of the Iranian people in the face of the crisis.

The arrival of this latest group brings the total number of Pakistani nationals repatriated from Iran to 255. According to the Quetta district administration, the returnees comprise pilgrims, students, and businesspeople from various regions across the country.

The administration confirmed that the individuals were dispatched to their respective home areas upon arrival. The returning citizens praised the significant support provided by the Pakistani embassy in Iran, noting they were sent to Pakistan on the day of the attack. They also confirmed that all necessary facilities were provided during their journey from the Taftan border to Quetta.
