Pakistan’s ambassador in Sri Lanka meets Galle Gladiators

KARACHI:The Pakistan’s ambassador in Sri Lanka Major General (R) Saad Khattak met the Pakistani contingent of Galle Gladiators at their team hotel on Thursday in Hambantota, Sri Lanka.

He inquired about the stay of the Pakistani players and officials and how the tour has gone so far in the country.

“It’s good to see Galle Gladiators represent Pakistan in Sri Lanka and Lanka Premier League (LPL) as people here love us and have always been very kind to Pakistanis,” Saad said.

“I wanted to meet all the Pakistani players and officials who have come here because you guys are our ambassadors. It’s always good to meet our own people and hopefully you guys will make the country proud.”

Galle Gladiators manager Azam Khan presented official merchandise of the team to the ambassador as souvenir.

“It’s an honour for all members of our team that you have took out time just to meet us coming down all the way to Hambantota.

“We would like to thank you on behalf of whole team and owner Nadeem Omar,” Azam said while addressing the ambassador.
