Pakistan’s liquid foreign reserves stand at $22,742.6m

KARACHI: State Bank of Pakistan informed on Thursday that the total liquid foreign reserves held by the country stood at US$22,742.6 million on 30 April 2021.

 

The break-up of the foreign reserves position is as under: Foreign reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan were US$ 15,597.9 million; Net foreign reserves held by commercial banks stood at US$ 7,144.7 million and total liquid foreign reserves stood at US$ 22,742.6 million

 

During the week ended 30 April 2021, SBP reserves decreased by US$830 million to US$15,597.9 million. During the week, the government’s commercial loan of US$ 1.0 billion was paid, whose impact on SBP’s reserves was partially offset by official inflows.
