Lahore, September 05, 2020 (PPI-OT): An exclusive e-Filing and Office Automation System (e-FOAS) training was conducted by Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) for secretaries from South Punjab at Arfa Software Technology Park on Thursday. Chairman PITB, Azfar Manzoor and Additional Chief Secretary, South Punjab Zahid Akhtar Zaman were also present at the session.
Director General e-Governance PITB, Sajid Latif gave a thorough introduction of the system including its scope and features while Additional Director General (Citizen Facilitation Services) PITB, Muhammad Waseem Bhatti gave an operational walkthrough of the system. Chairman PITB, Azfar Manzoor stated that e-FOAS adapts to any government business model based on the organizational structure by maximizing accessibility and functionality in repositories of all sizes, while increasing collaboration and communication between users.
With a very user friendly interface, e-FOAS is the multifaceted, smart and flexible choice as paperless working of the secretariat will also ensure transparency of matters along with promptness, he added. This cloud based electronic filing and office automation system is designed to ensure transparency while saving time and cost. The system deals with Office File Management, Receipt and Issuance Management, Document Archiving and Management, Performance Management, Information and Knowledge Sharing, and Meeting Scheduling and Management.
