Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to working closely with Iran for peace, progress and prosperity of two nations and broader region.
In a post on X today, he said during meeting with President Masoud Pezeshkian in Islamabad, they reaffirmed shared commitment to regional peace and importance of pursuing dialogue and diplomacy to resolve all outstanding issues.
The Prime Minister said they have agreed to further strengthen Pakistan-Iran relationship and expand cooperation across all areas of mutual interest.
Shehbaz Sharif conveyed Pakistan’s deep appreciation for the wise and sagacious leadership of Supereme Leader Ayatollah Sayyid Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei.
He thanked the Iranian leadership for reposing its abiding trust in Pakistan as a sincere friend, neighbour and mediator.
