Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is set to inaugurate the New Shalimar Express and unveil state-of-the-art waiting rooms and lounges at the Karachi Cantonment Station, marking a key development in public transport infrastructure during his one-day trip to the city.
According to a statement today, the premier arrived in the provincial capital for a day-long official visit focused on launching the upgraded railway amenities. Upon his arrival, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, accompanied by senior provincial officials, formally welcomed the Prime Minister.
The central agenda of the visit includes the official launch of the new train service and the inauguration of the passenger facilities, which are equipped with modern conveniences, at the Karachi Cantonment Station.
