KARACHI:Malir police on Thursday claimed to have arrested two street criminals involved in serious crimes including murder and robbery.
According to the police source, a squad of Malir police conducted a raid on a tip-off and arrested two accused identified as Muhammad Ali alias Ali Charia and Rizwan Khan. The police said that arrested accused were involved in motorcycle lifting. The police recovered two 30-bore pistols with a magazine and a stolen motorcycle. The motorcycle recovered from the accused was stolen from Shah Latif police station, the police said.
The police officials said that arrested accused did not hesitate to shoot and injure civilians during the two attempts of robbery. The accused used to commit most of the robberies in Malir, East and Korangi districts. The arrested suspects are professional criminals and have been arrested and jailed before. A letter was issued to other police stations in the city regarding the arrest of the two accused. The police further said that procedural action was being taken against the arrested accused.
