Police Bolster Security at Capital’s Recreational Hotspots with Special Units and Surveillance

In a significant move to enhance public safety, law enforcement authorities today initiated comprehensive security arrangements across all major recreational spots and parks, following special directives from Inspector General of Police (IGP) Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi.

The heightened measures are now in effect at prominent locations including Margalla Hills, Faisal Masjid, Daman-e-Koh, Fatima Jinnah Park, and the Pakistan Monument, as well as major commercial centers and other key points throughout the city.

To maintain order and ensure the security of citizens at these leisure areas, police officers are actively on duty. The effectiveness of this presence is bolstered by the deployment of mobile patrolling units to increase visibility and response capabilities.

Specialized units, including the Dolphin Squad and female police officers, have been stationed at various recreational sites. Authorities have also designated special parking areas at all major public gathering spots to facilitate smooth traffic flow.

In preparation for any potential emergencies, fresh police contingents have been deployed for immediate response. Additionally, special guidance points have been established to offer necessary assistance and support to the public.

Surveillance operations are being conducted around the clock, with the Safe City Islamabad camera network monitoring key entry and exit points of the capital and tracking any suspicious individuals.

IGP Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi affirmed that safeguarding the lives and property of residents remains the foremost priority for the police force. “We want citizens to enjoy tourism and recreation without fear,” the IGP stated, adding that all available resources are being utilized to make the city one of the safest.

He concluded by urging the public to adopt necessary safety precautions during their leisure activities and to report any suspicious person or activity promptly to the nearest police station or the emergency helpline Pucar-15.
