Police Chief Conducts Surprise Night-Time Inspections, Personally Addresses Citizen Grievances

Inspector General of Police (IGP) for Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, undertook a series of unannounced late-night visits to various security checkpoints across the capital, where he personally participated in vehicle inspections and directly addressed citizen complaints on the spot.

According to a police report today, the inspection, conducted in the presence of senior police officials, saw the IGP closely overseeing all operational arrangements and the methods used for checking at the posts. He joined on-duty personnel in the process of checking vehicles on the roads.

During the visits, IGP Rizvi engaged directly with on-duty officers and personnel, providing directives aimed at enhancing service delivery. He also took the opportunity to interact with members of the public, listening to their concerns and issuing immediate orders for their resolution.

He emphasized to senior commanders the necessity of maintaining professional responsibility, discipline, and courteous conduct when interacting with citizens during the performance of their duties.

In a statement, the police chief affirmed that the force would not permit any disruption to the peace and security of the federal capital, pledging to use all available resources to safeguard the lives, property, and assets of the citizenry.

Concluding his visit, IGP Rizvi expressed pride in the force, stating, ‘I am proud of all of you for tirelessly and bravely ensuring the safety of the lives and property of the citizens of the federal capital, Islamabad.’
