The Inspector General of Police (IGP) for Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, today directed all senior police officers to conduct open forums throughout the district, aiming to directly address and resolve public complaints. This directive was highlighted during a public session held by Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Muhammad Jawad Tariq, where he took immediate action on citizen concerns.
DIG Muhammad Jawad Tariq convened the open court at his office, listening to various issues brought forward by residents. According to official details, he issued on-the-spot orders for the resolution of these matters.
During the session, the DIG also emphasized that citizens can utilize the “IGP Complaint Cell 1715” as an alternative channel to register their grievances.
In compliance with the IGP”s mandate, all zonal Superintendents of Police (SPs) are now holding similar public hearings in their respective areas. The DIG noted that the Islamabad Police are committed to improving public outreach and effectively handling their problems.
The official added that addressing public issues is the highest priority for the capital”s police force and encouraged every citizen to openly share their concerns at these designated forums.
