A suspected drug dealer was arrested wounded after an intense exchange of fire with police units near the Northern Bypass.
The encounter occurred today when personnel of the Special Investigation Unit (SIU/CIA) confronted the alleged drug dealers. During the shootout, one person was injured and subsequently arrested, while an accomplice managed to escape and remains at large.
Authorities recovered a rifle, cartridges, and a quantity of illegal drugs from the scene.
The injured suspect has been moved to a medical center for treatment. A formal investigation into the incident has been launched to arrest the escaped suspect and gather further details.
