Police Intensify Security Measures at Religious Sites and Checkpoints Across Capital

In response to directives from the Inspector General of Police, security arrangements at Imambargahs, churches, and various duty points across the federal capital are being significantly enhanced to safeguard the public.

According to a report by Islamabad police today, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations, Qazi Ali Raza, personally visited several sensitive locations to review the security deployment and meet with the police personnel on duty.

During the inspection tour, the SSP Operations scrutinised the existing verification processes and issued clear instructions to fortify the security arrangements.

He mandated that the barricading and checking procedures be made more effective and purposeful to ensure the comprehensive protection of residents” lives and property.

Mr. Raza directed all officers to maintain a state of high alert, conduct rigorous checks of any suspicious individuals or vehicles, and to report any unusual activity to the relevant authorities without delay.

A strong emphasis was also placed on professional conduct, with the SSP advising that officers must treat the public with courtesy and respect to strengthen community trust and confidence.

He reiterated that the primary mission of the Islamabad Police remains the protection of its citizens and their belongings, and all security measures are being implemented to achieve this goal.

The public has been urged to cooperate with law enforcement during security procedures and to promptly report any suspicious person or activity to the nearest police station or through the emergency helpline ‘Pucar-15″.
