Police Seize Major Drug Haul, Firearms, Apprehend 14 Suspects

Law enforcement agencies in the federal capital today claimed to have apprehended 14 individuals in a series of operations, confiscating a substantial cache of narcotics, firearms, and stolen goods. The arrests form part of an ongoing crackdown against criminal elements aimed at enhancing public security.

Teams from Lohi Bher, Aabpara, Shalimar, Sumbal, Khanna, Humak, and Bani Gala police stations were instrumental in detaining eleven suspects allegedly involved in various illicit activities.

During these operations, officers retrieved two stolen motorcycles, 520 grams of hashish, 450 grams of heroin, seventeen bottles of alcoholic beverages, and eight pistols complete with ammunition. Formal charges have been brought against the individuals, and further inquiries are progressing.

Furthermore, a dedicated drive targeting proclaimed offenders and absconders resulted in the apprehension of three additional lawbreakers, reinforcing the law enforcement efforts.

These concerted actions align with the directives of IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, demonstrating the resolve of the city”s police force to combat crime and maintain peace within the federal capital.

SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza reiterated the force”s unwavering commitment to safeguarding the lives and assets of residents, affirming that no elements would be permitted to undermine public order. Ensuring peace and citizen protection remains the paramount objective for the local constabulary.
