Policeman killed, another injured in attack in Srinagar

Srinagar, February 06, 2018 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, one policeman was killed and another injured in an attack in Srinagar, today. DIG Ghulam Hassan Butt told media that two policemen were injured in an attack on a police party in Srinagar on Tuesday. “One of them succumbed while the other one is being treated at the hospital,” he said.

Meanwhile, unknown attackers assaulted an Indian army camp with rifle grenade at Kakapora village of Pulwama district. SSP Pulwama Mohammed Asalam Chaudry told media in Srinagar that the rifle grenade was hurled at Indian army’s 50 RR camp at Kakapora area of Pulwama district. However, the grenade exploded outside camp without causing any damage. The army soldiers fired several shots in air. A massive search operation was launched in the area the officer said.
