In a concerted effort to address national challenges in food safety and sustainable nutrition, key stakeholders from government, academia, and the private sector convened at a pivotal seminar organized by the Pakistan Dairy Association (PDA).

According to a statement today, the World Food Day event, hosted at Faletti’s Hotel under the theme ‘Hand in Hand: Safe Food for a Better Future,’ created a crucial platform for high-level discussions on dairy innovation and its role in promoting a healthier future for the population.

Representing the academic sector were distinguished experts from the University of Central Punjab (UCP), including Prof. Dr. Hafiza Rizwana Kausar, who serves as the Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology, and Dr. Kanza Aziz Awan, the Head of the Department of Food and Nutritional Sciences.

The participation of educational leaders in the forum highlights a growing emphasis on fostering collaboration between academic institutions and industry professionals. Such partnerships are considered essential for advancing food science education and contributing to impactful national dialogues on public health.
