Prayers session for Sheikh Aziz in Srinagar

Srinagar, August 10, 2018 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, a prayers session was held in Srinagar, today, on the eve of 10th martyrdom anniversary of prominent Hurriyat leader, Sheikh Abdul Aziz. Hurriyat leaders including Advocate Bashir Ahmed Tota, Muhammad Maqbool Sofi, Manzoor Malik, Haji Farooq, Muhammad Siddique Ganai, Nisar Ahmed Ahangar and Nazir Manzoor participated in the prayers session.

Advocate Bashir Ahmad Tota and others on the occasion paying glowing tributes to Sheikh Abdul Aziz said that he had dedicated his entire life for the Kashmir cause. They said that Sheikh Aziz had spent most of his life in Indian jails and torture centres but did not compromise on the rights of Kashmiri people especially the right to self-determination.

They said that the services of Sheikh Abdul Aziz for the ongoing freedom movement would always be remembered. They said that the sacrifices of Sheikh Abdul Aziz, Shaheed S Hameed Wani, Shaheed Ghulam Muhammad Bulla, Shaheed Khalil-ur-Rahman and others would not be allowed go waste and their mission would be accomplished at all costs.

It is to mention here that Sheikh Abdul Aziz was shot dead by the Indian troops on 11th August, 2008, while he was leading a procession from Srinagar to the Line of Control against the economic blockade of the Kashmir Valley by Hindu extremists of Jammu.
