Among the approved bills are “The Prevention of Electronic Crimes Amendment Bill, 2025,” “The Digital Nation Pakistan Bill, 2025,” and “The National Commission on the Status of Women (Amendment) Bill 2025.”
According to a statement by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, these legislative measures are designed to strengthen the legal framework surrounding electronic crimes in Pakistan. The Prevention of Electronic Crimes Amendment Bill, 2025, seeks to update existing laws to better address current technological challenges and cyber threats.
The Digital Nation Pakistan Bill, 2025, focuses on promoting digital governance and aims to foster an inclusive digital environment across the country. This bill is expected to pave the way for enhanced digital infrastructure and increased access to digital services for the population.
