President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Barrister Sultan Mehmood Chaudhry, has formally approved the Haveli University Act, paving the way for the establishment of the institution.
This fulfills a promise made by President Chaudhry during his visit to Haveli, where he addressed graduating students of the Haveli campus and assured them of a university in their district.
With the Act now approved, President Chaudhry has directed the relevant departments to expedite the process and allocate necessary resources to ensure the prompt commencement of academic programs at the newly approved university.
Congratulating the people of Haveli, he expressed hope that the institution would play a pivotal role in promoting higher education in the region. He also expects that the university’s graduates will significantly contribute to the overall development of the state.
