Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has departed for Vienna on a two-day official visit aimed at enhancing economic cooperation and attracting investment from Austria, following an invitation from Federal Chancellor Christian Stocker.
According to information by MOIB today, the premier is accompanied by a high-level delegation, including federal cabinet members and senior officials.
During the trip, he is scheduled to hold both one-on-one and delegation-level talks with the Austrian Federal Chancellor to review the full spectrum of their countries” mutual relationship.
A central focus of the visit is the promotion of economic ties, with the Prime Minister and the Federal Chancellor set to co-chair a meeting of prominent business leaders. The session is intended to spur greater investment between the two nations.
Additionally, Mr Sharif will preside over a meeting of the Pak-Austria Business Forum.
On the international stage, the Prime Minister is slated to deliver an address at a United Nations event themed “Sustainable Development, the Path to Global Peace and Prosperity”.
His agenda also includes a meeting with the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency.
Officials noted that the two countries maintain amicable and cooperative relations, founded on shared principles of dialogue and adherence to international law.
This official engagement coincides with the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations and is anticipated to introduce new facets to the partnership.
