Probe Ordered into Mysterious Hanging Deaths of Woman, Three Children in Karachi

Sindh Home Minister Zia-ul-Hassan Lanjar on Sunday ordered the SSP East to ensure immediate and transparent investigations into the mysterious death of a woman and three children at a house in Sohrab Goth”s Ganna Mandi area in Karachi.

According to the home ministry sources, the Sindh home minister took strict notice of the incident and sought immediate details from SSP East. He said that the investigation and inquiry process should be conducted in a highly impartial and transparent manner, and the culprits should be brought before the court of law.

He said that the factors and motives behind the killings should be identified and the involved culprits brought to justice. Lanjar said the identification and arrest of the elements involved in the incident should be ensured at the earliest. He said justice will be ensured for the affected family and transparent investigations into the incident would be carried out.

The ministry said that initially, the incident is being termed a case of suicide; however, the final conclusion will be reached only after a complete review of the evidence.

The SSP East said that all aspects of the incident were being examined thoroughly. He further stated that the actual facts would soon be brought to light in the light of the post-mortem, forensic report, and other evidence.

It may be noted that four bodies were recovered from a house near Sohrab Goth”s Ganna Mandi. They were three children and a woman found hanging inside the house.
