Protest for Naseerabad Hospital construction exceeds 130 days, citizens face health crisis

The protest movement demanding the completion of Naseerabad Taluka Hospital has entered its 131st day today, as a severe shortage of doctors and medicines forces residents to travel to other cities for treatment.

The demonstration was organized by the Sajag Shehri Ittehad, part of an ongoing signature campaign to draw attention to the incomplete construction of the taluka hospital. The rally was led by the alliance’s president Comrade Muhammad Rafi Lighari, Sufi Ghaffar Chino, Comrade Asif Katheo, Muhammad Tagar, Ikhtiyar Gunhwas, and Didar Kukar.

Addressing the gathering, the leaders said their organization has been protesting for over four months for the hospital’s restoration. They criticized the elected representatives and the District Health Officer (DHO) Qambar for their alleged inaction and emphasized that the current rural health center lacks both medical staff and essential medicines, causing severe hardship for the local population.

The organizers have vowed that their struggle will continue until construction work on the Taluka Hospital Naseerabad formally begins.
