Protest over Unsolved Nasirabad School Robbery, Citizens Alliance Sets Up Makeshift School in Police Station

In an unconventional protest against alleged police inaction, local activists occupied the Nasirabad police station and established a makeshift school, where teachers conducted classes for children inside the station. The protest followed two weeks of frustration over the failure to solve a robbery at the Main Primary School.

The unique sit-in was organized on Monday by the Citizens Alliance, which had earlier led a rally from the robbed school to the police headquarters. The participants, including teachers and students, then occupied the police station, turning the law enforcement building into a center of learning as an act of symbolic resistance.

Addressing the protestors, community leaders including Comrade Sengar Noonari, Abdul Wahab Brohi, Zahid Hussain Tunio, and Bakhsh Ali Magsi expressed their frustration. They emphasized that fifteen days have passed since the school robbery, yet neither the stolen items have been recovered nor have any suspects been arrested.

The leaders explained that repeated deadlines given to the police to solve the case were ignored, leaving them with no choice but to escalate their protest in this manner. They issued a final ultimatum, declaring that if the stolen goods are not recovered by the end of the day, they will stage a major sit-in on the Indus Highway tomorrow.
