PTA Collaborates with APNA on New Class Value Added Services License Template in Islamabad


Islamabad, The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) conducted a crucial consultation with the All Pakistan Network Association (APNA) regarding the proposed Class Value Added Services (CVAS) license template. The meeting, led by PTA Chairman Maj General (R) Hafeez Ur Rehman, was aimed at refining the regulatory framework for CVAS licenses through stakeholder feedback.



According to Pakistan Telecommunication Authority, the discussion with APNA representatives focused on their concerns and suggestions for the CVAS license services. The meeting facilitated a productive exchange of views, with APNA officials providing detailed feedback on specific aspects of the proposed license template. The PTA has encouraged APNA to submit their formal comments in writing to ensure all viewpoints are comprehensively documented and considered.



The PTA’s consultative approach was highlighted as a key strategy in regulating the telecom sector, involving stakeholders directly in the decision-making process. The authority emphasized the importance of collaborative discussions and written submissions from relevant parties to shape effective telecommunications policy. The consultation process, which concludes today, April 17, 2024, is part of PTA’s broader effort to engage industry experts and stakeholders in shaping the future of telecommunications services in Pakistan.
